Just Discovered PvP...it rocks. - Guild Wars Forums

Hi,

I have been playing PC games now for about 7-8 years. Until buying Guild Wars I exclusively played against the AI and never thought about multiplayer. The main reason for buying Guild Wars was the promise of no monthly fees and a chance to see what these online gaming communities are all about. So this weekend I finally took the big step and went into the PvP Arena in Ascalon. I was immediately hooked. I must have played for about 3hours straight. To make a long story short, I now am unable to compete in the Ascalon Arena as I just reached lvl 11 during a PvP match. What a bummer! I just hope I can wait until I find another arena while doing PvE.

Question:
Where is the next closest PvP Arena located near Ascalon?

BTW thanks to the Guild Wars creators for this great game. Your strategy of selling an online game with no monthly fees got me to take the bait, and the gameplay will keep me coming back for more.

Next Arena you can go to is in Yak's Bend in the Northern Shiverpeaks.

Just keep doing the Missions in Ascalon and your get there in time.

just remember there is restrictions on a few of those those arenas.

Yak's I think can have parties of up to level 15, so if you're level 16 already, you'll have to travel soon enough to Lion's arch. once there, there are almost no restrictions, but level 20s like to fight there instead.

I too was similarly hooked by Ascalon Arena. The first time I leveled a character to 11 in Arena I was so disappointed that I started another character just to get back in there. I think he went from lvl 7 to lvl 11 almost purely from fighting in the Arena.

Now I prefer GvG, but It's still nice to go let loose in the Arena from time to time.

Make sure that if you want REAL matches, you'd best to get a team of level 20s to help with the fight. Who knows? maybe we can fight each other once you've ascended

Good luck with your pre-20 fights then
